Washington State has the best mountain biking in the world. Diverse trails, connection to a vibrant natural world and breathtaking scenery make for a lifetime's worth of experiences. Ride with us! Spend 5 days here in the Cascades tackling every kind of terrain you can imagine. This tour is designed for advanced riders: Big climbs, big descents. A whole day riding the lifts and barreling the downhills, flow trails, ladders and features at Stevens Pass Bike Park. Stay in Leavenworth, the geographic center of the state. Here, Cascade peaks shoot skyward to the west and taper into low hills to the east. Wild whitewater flows through deep valleys, dumping into the Columbia River en route to the Pacific Ocean. Leavenworth, a small Bavarian-themed mountain town tucked into the eastern slope of the Cascades, offers everything to support the outdoor adventurer. Food, beer, more food - and great lodging, all within walking/riding distance of the shops, pubs and trails.

Looking for something a bit less challenging? See the Mountain Bike Leavenworth 'Green' Tour for less experienced riders.

DAY 1

Meet in Seattle. Head for the mountains. Hit the trails at Cle Elum Ridge.

Meet in Seattle for the 2-hour transfer to the Cle Elum area. Get your bike fit and suspension all set up, then take off on the advanced trails of scenic Blewett Pass. Mix in some high-country climbing with a long descent nearly all the way to Leavenworth. Shuttle the last bit into Leavenworth and relax at our comfortable lodging while digging into some cold beers and BBQ to kick off the week.

- Avg. 30 mi, 3000-3500 ft climb/descent

DAY 2

Take your pick from a bevy of local trails waiting right outside your door. Hills, drops - whatever you wish for, it's all here.

Head south of Leavenworth to the Cashmere and Mission Ridge area this morning. Want to climb? There are lots of hills here for the taking. How about some downhill? Take your pick - there's a great set of trails in store. It's a great day far from any roads. Lunch will be on trail. You might be surprised at how much gourmet lunch the guides can bring out of their packs.

- Avg. 12-24 mi, 2000-4000 ft climb/descent

DAY 3

Ride Cashmere and Mission Ridge. No cars, no traffic, plenty of uphill or down. Or both.

After breakfast, roll right from the house and ride some of the local favorites. Plenty of options - go as hard or as easy as you like. Enjoy lunch in little Bavaria. This afternoon, back to the trails, or check out one of the few paved pump tracks in North America, right in the heart of Leavenworth.

- Avg. 12-24 mi, 2000-4000 ft climb/descent

DAY 4

Xanadu is calling. It's time to ride.

After a quick shuttle out of town, ride the infamous Xanadu today. The trail points the tire down the knife-edge of a spectacular piece of trail. When we are down and done, it's time to hop back in the van to get ready for a final group dinner.

DAY 5

Ride world-class Stevens Pass Bike Park before heading back to Seattle.

Today we ride the World-class Stevens Pass Bike Park. It is three-time Top 5 winner in the MTBparks.com Riders' Choice Best Bike Parks Awards. It's the only place in Washington State where you'll find the thrill of lift-accessed riding. It's right on top of the Cascade Crest, just a short shuttle ride from town. Spend the whole day here. Double black diamond, intermediate, easy, advanced flow trails, berms it's all playground. Take the chair lift to the top while deciding which trail to chase down next. Then do it again. Grab lunch whenever you like at one of the resort's many restaurants. Then ride until your perma-grin is ready to head back to town.
