Begin the day getting your bike blessed at The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, then ride outside the city for a spin in the urban countryside. We have three bike ride options today: 20, 30 or 50 miles. Before crossing the river, get the story behind – and stop for a photo at – the landmark Little Red Lighthouse beneath the double-decker George Washington Bridge, connecting Manhattan, New York with Fort Lee, New Jersey. Our route follows a favorite weekend ride for locals, cruising north along the Hudson River to Palisades Park and Tallman Mountain Park – a surprising enclave of protected rugged woodlands and cliffside vistas just minutes from Manhattan. Want to keep going? Ride north to Piermont, New York, then take New York Bicycle Route 9 back across the George Washington Bridge. Back in Manhattan, enjoy lunch along the Hudson River before returning to the Westin. Savor dinner at Ceci Italian Restaurant in anticipation of tomorrow’s ride.
