Bicycle Adventures Hiring Cycles

For new guide hiring, we typically begin the process around the first of the year, but we are always interested in hearing from potential guides. Tour Guide

For anyone who loves cycling, people, and the outdoors, this is a dream job! Together with your Head Guide, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our multi-day road bike tours for groups of up to 13 guests.

Although it is preferred, you do not need to have all the below skills or qualifications in order to apply. If there are any missing, we expect that you will be eager to bridge the gap if you are hired.

Skills & Qualifications

Exemplary customer service with guests, fellow guides, and other tour partners

  • Shows interest in individual guests, is respectful & tolerant
  • Able to identify complaints and handle conflicts
  • Strong communication skills, able to give clear direction

Cycling

  • Strong capable cyclist
  • Skilled bike mechanic
  • Able to coach guests of any ability

Passionate about the outdoors

  • Curious about the areas we operate in
  • Eager to learn about and talk with guests about these areas
  • Sustainability

Priioritizes safety

  • Able to assess situations for potential safety hazards and minimize risks
  • Maintains current certifications in First Aid & CPR, Medical Driver’s Card (physical exam required), Food Handler’s Permit (certifications not required to apply, but must be obtained upon hire)

Able to perform all aspects of a fully-supported tour

  • Strong work ethic, proactive, detail-oriented yet attentive to the whole guest experience
  • Great cook for groups
  • Safe driver, clean record, able to drive and back 36’ of van & trailer
  • Strong enough to load bikes on top of van/trailer, lift 50 lb. coolers
