Last week I headed over to Leavenworth to check out the snow level for our upcoming Mountain Bike Tour. Despite the over-the-top Bavarian everything town, which it is most famous for, the real gems in Leavenworth are not the Bavarian store fronts, but the outdoor activities. The hiking, trail running, rock climbing, rafting, kayaking and of course Mountain Biking are all world class.
The challenges for me in our 4 day Leavenworth Mountain bike tour are:
1) trying to figure out how much of all these things we can pack into 4 days
2) choosing one activity over the other
3) once we land on an activity, deciding which trail or route is more spectacular than the next
4) making sure we still have time to visit 14 different wineries and sample at least a few of the award winning restaraunts.
I guess I will know the answers to the above soon enough, Sunday the 13th is our first Leavenworth Tour Mountain Bike Tour of the year.
Weather is forecast to be sunny and mid 70s, perfect weather for just about anything.
