Who is Graciela?

Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and a 10+ year resident of Portland, OR, Graciela is no stranger to cycling culture. From teaching kiddos bike safety to organizing community rides, bikes have long been integral to her daily life. Recently, she headed south to experience cycling culture internationally. This led to volunteering at a bike repair collective in Buenos Aires, Argentina, one of many experiences where a shared passion of cycling led to connecting with people all over the world. In her downtime she can be found brainstorming her latest kitchen creations, enjoying seasonal ice cream flavors, and learning about local geology.

Q.

Volunteer Activities:

A.

I'm a longtime volunteer with Bike Farm, an all volunteer run bike repair co-op in Portland, OR. My time volunteering has exposed me to so many opportunities to grow both mechanical knowledge and build skills in organizing people. I'm especially passionate about making the space more inviting for beginner mechanics. Teaching people skills that give them agency over their own transportation feels incredibly rewarding and has kept me around for years!
