Tory Brown

Tory, a Portland, Oregon native, lives with a passion for discovery and a deep connection to nature. After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy, he was stationed in Montana, where he worked in Nuclear Missile Operations. During this time, he rekindled his love for the outdoors, earning certification as a PSIA ski instructor and becoming an outdoor guide in Big Sky, Montana. There, he led day-hiking tours, mountain biking excursions, and guided trips through Yellowstone National Park, sharing the beauty and wonder of the Northern Rocky Mountain Wilderness.

Tory’s love for cycling began in 2023 when he embarked on a four-week bike-packing trip around the island of Kyushu, Japan. Being fluent in the Japanese language, he found this experience to perfectly blend his love for bikes and the Japanese culture. This adventure sparked a new career path for him in the world of guiding cycling tours. He then began his cycling guide career in the Spring of 2023 when he was hired on with Bike Tour Japan and continued to guide tours seasonally in the Spring and Fall. Tory is excited to bring his experience guiding to the Bicycle Adventures family and share his love of cycling and seeing the world.
